We Have Seen His Star
Marple Blevins
If I could have lived so long ago, and walked with the wise men three, and had been foretold of his coming, and most fortunate to see. To have heard them say, as they looked up, and saw the glowing from afar, the savior has been born tonight, for we have seen his star.
Oh to have walked in its brightness, to the manger where he lay, to have looked in awe upon him in his lowly bed of hay. To bare a loving gift to him, to have traveled oh so far, knowing this was God's own son, for we have seen his star.
What an honor it would have been, to touch that tiny hand, knowing he was sent to earth, to give his life for man. Knowing he would set us free, from sin, grief and war, to have been among the ones who said, we have seen his star.
Luke 2:12 And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Luke 2:16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
