Dancing on the Father's Shoes
M. Kish
Fear,
Fear go away don't come back any other day
For the Lord is my freedom and in Him I'll entrust my souls deepest fear
On to Him I do thrust
When evening shadows encompass my soul
I run to Him who embraces me whole
To give me comfort and calm my childlike shutters
"Peace be still" He softly mutters
Like the wave of the sea all my fears obey His command
And then I do rest so safely in His hands.
Of the Fathers wrath I was afraid
Not understanding the price he paid
For my love he desired most
To dance unending with the Lord of Hosts.
I had hidden behind misunderstanding and lies of the foe.
His love for me never ending though
The pain and shame of my own fears he used
To draw His daughter nearer still
To stand dancing on the Fathers shoes.
